Mark your calendars for Friday, October 5, 2012, when the 19th Annual Jordan & Kyra Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at Seascape Golf Club. Seascape is located at 610 Clubhouse Drive in Aptos, California. The tournament will feature a single flight shotgun start, with space limited to the first 144 registered golfers.

As in the past, the Jordan & Kyra Memorial Golf Tournament will be the culminating event in a year-long fundraising effort benefiting pediatric brain tumor research and family care. During the past 18 years, nationwide fundraising for the Jordan & Kyra Memorial Foundation has raised more than $2 million for pediatric brain tumor research being conducted by the nation’s foremost expert in the field, Dr. Mark Israel, MD at Dartmouth University’s Norris Cotton Cancer Center. Funds also support Family House – a non-profit residence for the families of children undergoing treatment at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center.
The Jordan & Kyra Memorial Golf Tournament is operated by the American Golf Foundation (AGF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing and enriching communities through charity, education and community service. In addition to overseeing administrative functions of the charity golf tournament, AGF supports the Jordan & Kyra Memorial Foundation through its team of volunteer Ambassadors, who conduct fundraising events at golf courses nationwide for its benefit. In 2011, more than $167,000 was raised through the tournament and on-course fundraising by AGF Ambassadors
The 2012 tournament will feature a variety of exciting activities including a shotgun start tournament, a silent auction with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and an awards dinner banquet. Entry into the tournament includes green and cart fees, lunch, tee gifts, and an invitation to the reception and awards dinner banquet. Special hotel rates for tournament entrants will be available at select properties.
